Item Description
If you’ve been looking for the perfect blend of history, hydraulics, and “hope it starts,” this one’s for you.
This vintage Blaw-Knox PF-180 was born when men were men, roads were straight, and Detroit Diesels screamed glory across the countryside. Equipped with a Detroit 4-71 engine that runs (with a little encouragement from a jump pack), this machine recently fired up and even moved under its own power for the first time in who knows how long.

The honest truth
It’s old, it’s yellow, and it’s ugly in the most beautiful way. You can still smell the history (and a little diesel) when you stand near it. The township just wants it to go to a loving home — preferably someone with jumper cables and a good sense of humor.
No one currently working here has ever seen this thing run — until last week, when we got it started and moved it to where it’s sitting right now. So we won’t be able to answer many technical questions about it. What you see is what you get, and what you get is pure vintage asphalt art.
This is basically the 1969 Boss Mustang of the municipal world — same era, same Detroit soul, same deafening exhaust note… just with a screed instead of a spoiler.
And as a bonus, we’ll even throw in the broken aluminum pipe wrench that’s sitting on the hopper — free of charge. (It’s vintage too and may have a purpose for operation that we are unaware of.)
We’ll help load it and jump start it for the lucky winning bidder. After that, it’s your new project, parts donor, parade float, or conversation piece.
