All property is offered for sale 'AS-IS, WHERE-IS' with no warranty or guarantee as to its fitness for any use or purpose offered or implied. Please note that all sales are final. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding process, and to withdraw any item from sale at any time prior to the close of the auction. High bids may be subject to final approval by the Board of School Directors. Payment must be received in full within 5 business days of the notice of award. Acceptable forms of payment include certified check, cashier’s check, or money order made payable to Montrose Area School District Cash and personal checks are not accepted. All taxes are the responsibility of the bidder. The buyer is solely responsible for all loading, shipping, and removal of the items. The District will NOT provide packing, shipping, or loading assistance, nor will it provide tools, equipment, or manpower. Items must be removed within ten (10)business days of payment. Pickups are strictly by appointment only during normal business hours. If the successful bidder fails to pay for or remove the property within the specified timeframes, the District reserves the right to declare the bidder in default. The District may retain any payment made as liquidated damages and reserves the right to resell the item to the next highest bidder, scrap it, or relist it. The defaulting bidder may be blocked from future district sales. The buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Montrose Area School District, its Board of Directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, or injuries arising from the purchase, removal, use, or disposal of the equipment.

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?

If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
